It was a typical grey Seattle
Day with thick clouds covering the sky and a slight breeze coming off
The bay. We took a different route into the market for this trip by
Exploring the less traveled Post Alley. The road was cobblestone and
The walls of the brick buildings were covered with pieces of gum. It
Almost appeared as if it was done deliberately as artwork. We emerged
From the alley and took the staircase up to the market. Almost
Immediately we were surrounded by the commotion of the market and the
Smell of fish; people pushed their way to the front of the lines to get
A better look at fruit, the fisherman tossed fish to their partners to
Quickly wrap up.

It was Sunday at the market and it was packed.
Tourists wandered through the narrow market aisles with their camera
Poised for any kind of "Kodak moment" while locals pushed their way
Through crowds busily trying to finish up their errands for the day.
We decided to protect ourselves from the chaos that was located within
The market aisles by opting to wander along the main market street.
This is a great way to get a feel for Pike Place Market without having
To get trapped amongst the crowds. On the left was the market
Designated by the large, red neon sign and on the right were some small
Vendors along with cafes, including the famous original Starbucks, and
Street performers.

One of my favorite
Things about the market are the street performers. You can spend a
Good amount of time by standing to the side and watching their acts.
On this day we had the opportunity to see a talented musician play his
Guitar, a harmonica and top it off by hula hooping at the same time.
Further down the street was a large crowd gathered around an older
Gentleman with an African Grey Parrot. When we came upon the crowd we
Saw the old man give a volunteer from the audience the Parrot, handed
Over on its back. The lady began to stroke the bird when Oops the
Bird grabbed onto her finger. A horrified expression filled the face
Of the woman who wasn't sure what to do. The bird eventually let go
And the old man shouts, "Just a taste test". The woman gave a forced
Laugh, followed by the crowd's laughter.

Later,
We decided to stroll along the North end of the market to the Victor
Steinbrueck Park so that we could get a better look at the Puget
Sound. This park was once the site of the Washington National Guard
Armory built in 1909. After being partially destroyed by a fire in
1962 , the land was going to be used for high rises. The armory was
Torn down in spite of fierce opposition, but fortunately the land was
Purchased by the city in 1968 and transformed into a park. The Victor
Steinbrueck Park offers a beautiful view of the Puget Sound and West
Seattle. It's a great location to bring a pasty and coffee and just
Sit and watch the ferries come in and out of port. In the summer
Months, vendors set up food stands in the area. On this day a roasted
Corn stand was positioned right along the path to catch hungry
Sight-seers. The aroma of lime and Cajun seasoning from the stand
Lingered in the cool summer air. The park offers a great retreat from
The hectic market allowing you to take in the lovely horizon of the
Olympic Mountains and all that is Puget Sound.

Our
Stomachs began to growl (the sweet smell of roasted corn surely did not
Help) and we braved our way back through the busy market street.
Stopping momentarily to get one last peek of the market street
Performers, we left to satisfy our growing appetites.

Spent a nice night out with friends in the Printworks on friday night. After spending the week on a bit of a comedown with post-meet blues after an excellent weekend away last weekend, it was just the tonic I needed.

After dinner and some drinks we indulged in our favourite past time of people watching from outside Waxyapos;s. When you look at people on a night out, if youapos;ve seen one you really have seen apos;em all. All the lads have the same shorn heads and stripey jumpers and all the girls move in blonde packs wearing the same dresses. Apparently black outfits and neon pink tutus are de rigeur at the moment.

I saw this one party of 4 girls by the cash machines, all with the same shade of blonde and the same haircuts and outfits and they all looked the same. If you were out on the pull it wouldnapos;t make any difference which one you got off with because they were indistinguishable from one another. Itapos;s like ordered a blonde off the rack. Btw - not having a go at blondes here, but there were an awful lot of them about and all looking the same.

I looked around at my friends and thought - theyapos;re all individuals. We all looked different from one another and each brought a different something to the night out. This is a good thing and one of the many reasons I love my friends. I wonder what the blondes did? Went and stood in one of the pubs where loud music drowns out all attempts at conversation? Discussed whoapos;s fittest on Hollyoaks? Drank silly cocktails and squealed when they crossed the roads and a taxi beeped them? All the other ones were...

I came home sometimes around 1-ish and I havenapos;t left the house since then. In fact if it wasnapos;t for a free dinner round my folks and a hockey game later this evening, I doubt Iapos;d kiss sunlight until monday morning

Hey everyone its horatio. Ok so i went to subway today and saw that they had a meatball subway sandwich. Can you believe thati always thought that meatballs were just for spaghetti, since you know, thats like the origin of where they came from. But there it was, on bread, just for me today. It was so amazing i thought i was going to bust a cappilary.

tonight i didnt get to call any radio sations because im at home and dont have a radio here. Someone told me that you can have a radio on the online computer web, but i cant find it. Thats kinda cool how technologys like put us ahead of other countriesa nd were the future of the world. Its like that pod song where theyre all WEAREWEARE.

soon ill get some sweet pixtures up so you all know what me, horatio, looks like. Take it easy everyone and dont forget to listen to kim on the radio.

Good Day

I had an appointment with my favorite hairstylist, Layla. I told her that I was ready to chop off some hair and she said, "Yay*squeal* How much are we hacking off?"
Sheapos;s so awesome :)
And my hair is now just beyond shoulder length with shorter face-framing layers. I. Love. It.

Then it was off to the city to meet with Miketo talk production schedules and fundraising. Bottom line is- the company will be signing me as a "guest producer" for the duration of the fundraising and production (about 10 months). As soon as we sit down and go over the financial proposal thatI will spend the next day researching and writing up, the papers will be drawn up and signed.
Basically it will be a breakdown of how much each fundraising eventwill cost to put on and also a breakdown of production costs for the actual show in Edinburgh. That includes airfare for the equity members, housing for the month-long festival, rental of the rehearsal space and performance venue (not to mention the cost of the show rights), how much the musicians will be paid, costumes...
Whew Thatapos;s alot of research.

I look forward to presenting my proposal. Iapos;m glad these people are my dear friends or I would be a nervous wreck right now :)

Adamapos;s Wedding tomorrow There will be pics, cause my dress is hot :)

Sleep now.

When you left a piece of me went with you.
I call. You answer.
My heart skips a beat.
Your voice brightens my day.

I see you a month later.
The sight of you leaves me intoxicated.
I canapos;t help, but to feel like my whole self.

You leave.
The last thing I feel is the touch of your kiss.

Another piece leaves.

The next time I see you
My heart beats faster.
I am reminded of the us that we were.

Our bodies so close.
Embracing what few moments we had.
Almost constant contact with you
Made me feel things
That I could only feel with you.

I leave this time.
Longing for our next encounter.

My next chance comes.
But you are different than the one that I left only a short moment ago.
You are distant,
But wonapos;t admit whatapos;s wrong.

I try to find
To search for my love,
But I canapos;t find you.

Where did you go?

We part again.
Once more the last thing I feel is the embrace of lips.
But this time it was like it was the last.

I continue the ritual of a weekly call.
Mainly to hear your voice and to tell you of my troubles,
For you are the only one who listens and knows.

The pattern continues until one day.

I call you for our weekly dance.
But I learn that you are gone.
I worry a little but not too much.

Itapos;s been three weeks since I last heard your voice.

I miss you.
I long to hear of your voice.
To touch those lips that mine ache for everyday.

Where are you?
Iapos;m waiting to be yours once again.
